Funky, blues and live music vibes - from Berettyóújfalu
A Simple Blues Band It was founded in Berettyóújfalu in 2017 with the aim of providing a musical break from the everyday workday. In the beginning, classic blues standards were the backbone of their programme, but over the years they have developed their own distinctive sound.
Their style is demanding funky-blues moved towards, at the same time as the blues-rock is also a recurring theme in their repertoire. Since 2019, the band is officially as an association and one of their main objectives is to organise as many local events as possible to promote the the magic of live music in their neighbourhood.
In the past years they have participated in many prestigious blues events in Hungary, they have performed several times at the Szeged Bánya BBQ Blues Festival, a Zsámbéki Blues Picnic, as well as the Révfülöpi Blues Festival.
Frontman of the band, Péter Csontos (vocals, guitar) In 2023, as a guest of a Miskolc formation, he will perform at the at the Katowice Blues Festival representing the spirit of the team on the international stage.
Several members of the current line-up are also active in other musical formations.
